The Athletic Training Education Program at Delta State University offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training. The 124 required hours encompass general education, major and Exersice Science Minor requirements.

| ATEP Mission Statement
To prepare and encourage the development of knowledgeable and skilled athletic training professionals with problem solving capabilities who will represent the profession of athletic training and provide quality health care.

ATEP Goals
The goals of the ATEP at Delta State University are simple and consistent:

ATEP Curricular Philosophy
The curriculum for the ATEP at Delta State University is founded in the educational requirements set forth by the NATA Education Council and contained in the Entry Level Athletic Training Clinical Proficiencies and Athletic Training Educational Competencies. ATS will be placed in a “learning over time” atmosphere allowing them to build a foundation and progress their skills and knowledge throughout their enrollment in the curriculum.
