Transfer Students

Admission Requirements

Students who meet the requirements for entering freshman may transfer to Delta State University from a regionally accredited college or university for any period of enrollment, provided a 2.0 GPA has been maintained on all college courses attempted. Students must also be in good standing with the last college or university attended. 

Any student who does not meet entering freshman requirements may transfer to Delta State University if they have completed the following 24 semester credit hours and earned an overall 2.0 GPA on all hours attempted: 

• 6 semester hours English Composition
• 3 semester hours College Algebra or above
• 6 semester hours Laboratory Science
• 9 semester hours Transferable Electives

The Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) and the State Community and Junior College Board (SCJC) have created an articulation agreement which outlines the minimum courses that will transfer from a Mississippi community/junior college to a state university.
