In recognition of the importance of annual contributions, the University established special membership levels to honor annual contributors. Alumni, parents and friends join The Delta State Fund Giving Clubs by making an annual gift to The Delta State Fund and in doing so they help to build a stronger Delta State University. Named for the men and women who founded Delta State Teachers College (DSTC). The first planning meeting was held in September 1922, when Mr. J. C. Roberts credited the idea of a Teachers College in
