"I came to the United States as an undergraduate on a swimming scholarship, I chose Delta State because it had the best swimming pool! I'm an All-American, All-Conference retired swimmer. After receiving my undergraduate degree in Physical Education, I decided to stay to receive my graduate degree because I love Delta State. The graduate program I am in is convenient for me because all the classes meet either at night or online which makes it easier for me to work and attend classes. The class sizes are small and allow a lot of one-on-one time with the instructor. I have enjoyed being in the United States and have had many opportunities to travel. The culture and learning styles and class sizes and structure are a lot different here. I believe it is important to study abroad to experience a new culture and gain more knowledge."

"I decided to study in America because it offers good education. It is a beautiful country and the people are very different from what I read and heard about Americans, they are nicer of course. I came to Delta State on a recommendation from a Delta State professor and a family member studying at another university. My learning experience so far has been very intuitive and of great quality. Delta State is a great institution with a lot of support for students in terms of resources. The MBA program here works well for me because I am able to balance academics with my social life, and most importantly the research projects provide an opportunity to learn not just theory but practical issues in the real world. It would be great for more international students to experience this wonderful institution. The experience is invaluable. The world is a global village now and knowing more about other geographies is very important in both social and professional dealings."

"I am a Senior Manager in the Assurance Department of Ernst & Young (EY) Guam. I do audits of government entities, telecom, construction, hospitality, and I define contribution plan clients. I manage the learning and development program for our local EY office. Outside of work I am the President-Elect of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) - Guam Chapter. My work at EY entails a lot of meetings, planning, and deadlines. I also need to fulfill my role in AGA. The work day goes by fast. The iMBA program provides me the flexibility of learning on my free time. The online format is new to me but I recommend it especially for working professionals. I found out about the iMBA program through a Delta State instructor who spoke at our AGA Guam Chapter. Three things I hold important about the iMBA program are the accreditation, flexibility and format, and affordability. I believe it is important to study abroad because it gives a different experience through interaction with people of different cultural backgrounds and the diversity provides a more holistic and global perspective."

"I grew up playing tennis and traveling to tournaments around Australia and abroad. From all of my traveling, I developed a passion for the aviation industry. Because I wanted to travel more and become more independent, I came to the United States to study as an undergraduate. I received a tennis scholarship at Delta State and majored in commercial aviation. I hope to one day become an air traffic controller. I am proud to say that I have been putting myself through college, without any loans, through scholarships and working. Delta State is such a great university. I found the small classes to be one of the highlights and most teachers are very willing to help. I believe studying abroad is such a great experience, even if you do it for just one semester. You learn to be independent and responsible for yourself. It also gives you the opportunity to look at how another country works and you get to experience the culture. I highly recommend it!"

"I initially decided to study in the United States because of a soccer scholarship I received at the university where I received my undergraduate degree. Sports are a much bigger part of school here than they are at home. It makes school more fun for me since I was an athlete and still love sports. I stayed in the United States for my graduate degree because I really enjoyed my time here. I like Delta State because of the small, intimate classes that are provided at night which allow me to commute from the city I currently live in. The people here are friendly and the professors are helpful. Being awarded a scholarship was very helpful and has provided me with great experiences. Studying abroad is a great way to experience different cultures and learning environments. It gives you a different perspective on how things are done in places other than where you grew up and it provides a great opportunity to network with people from different parts of the world."
