Progress:
The CCHEC team is working hard to move this community-based higher education center and DSU/CCC satellite campus forward. One of the top priorities is to get primary construction needs completed which includes installing restrooms in the Lewis Technology Building, adding a fence around the campus to make it more secure, updating the J. W. Cutrer House so it will be ADA compliant and expanding the parking lot so it can accommodate more traffic. Construction is expected to start in January 2012. Other priorities include advancing communications, releasing the community interest survey results, developing a variety of educational opportunities for the public at large, fully equipping and utilizing the Viking Kitchen, partnering with as many organizations as possible to utilize and enhance the campus, updating the previous master plan and then planning an aggressive fundraising campaign that will push the project to completion. If you would like to be a part of the progress team or if you have ideas for the campus, please contact Jen Waller. |
