What is Teach Mississippi Institute?

TMI is an eight week summer program hosted by Delta State that carries 12 semester hours of college credit. There is also a one year internship program that provides six semester hours of college credit. These credit hours may used towards a master's degree.

Teach Mississippi Institute aids in earning a Mississippi teacher license throught the alternate route program.

How Do I apply?

1. Achieve passing scores on the Praxis I and II tests. (You may register for the Praxis exams online, or visit the University counseling center for an application packet.)

2. Obtain a written agreement from a Delta school district whereby the school district agrees to employment after summer institute program completion.

3. Apply to and gain admission to Graduate School at Delta State.

4. Submit the Teach Mississippi Institute Application adobe
