The Center for Teaching and Learning is funded through the Delta Education Initiative.


The Delta Education Initiative is a continuation grant awarded from the U.S. Department of Education for the improvement of education in the Delta. It is made up of 4 components, one being the Technology Program.

The goal of the Technology Program is to create a resource-rich culture of learning with full staff capabilities to support computer-based applications in classrooms and faculty offices. The process is to provide on-going, on-site, just-in-time training and technical support for faculty and students.

Partnering Programs at DSU

The Delta Area Association for Improvement of Schools (DAAIS) is a regional consortium of educational institutions in the geographic region known as the Mississippi Delta which is committed to a policy of equal educational opportunities. Various educational opportunities for educators are sponsored by DAAIS.

 

SouthEast and Islands Regional Technology in Education Consortium

SEIRuTEC is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to support the use of technology for teaching and learning. This site provides information on propsal writing tools and links to web sites of funding entities in general and specific.
