Transfer student? If applying to the ATEP, transfer students must complete 3-4 credit hours of general biology to meet the pre-requisite requirement. For a complete list of transferable courses please refer to the Undergraduate Bulletin. For specific course transfer questions, please contact the ATEP Director at 662-846-4562.

As part of the CAATE standards, sudents will work with a variety of assigments. The clinical experience table demonstrates the type and sequencing of hands-on athletic training. It shows clinical experiences by season, nature of assignment, and student classification.

The primary mission of the Athletic Training Education Program is to provide quality educational experiences through which students may receive didactic instruction and obtain the clinical skills necessary to practice as an athletic trainer certified by the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Through successful completion of the ATEP, graduates are prepared to enter the profession of athletic training.
