Summer Developmental Program
Students who do not meet regular admissions criteria are eligible to enroll in the Summer Developmental Program as an alternate route to the admission process. The summer program is a nine-week academic program that provides both faculty-directed and computer-assisted instruction in math, reading, and writing. Academic support for the summer program consists of learning strategies and study skills, as well as academic advising and personal and career counseling.
Delta State's Summer Developmental Program begins the week of Memorial Day and extends through the last week in July. Students desiring to enroll in the Summer Developmental Program should contact Diane Blansett at 662-846-4654. The priority deadline for enrolling in the 2009 Summer Developmental Program is Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to continue their college education at any IHL university in the fall term.
Financial aid is now available for Mississippi high school graduates attending the Mississippi Summer Developmental Program. For more information on financial aid eligibility and the application process, click here.
For more information about the program or to enroll, contact the Delta State University Admissions Office at 662-846-4020 or Diane Blansett, Director of the Summer Developmental Program, at 662-846-4654. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to be your choice for higher education.
