Kris King, MBA

          I received my MBA from Delta State University in 2008. I chose Delta State for a number of reasons, but the most influential factor was the true passion that the professors at Delta State demonstrate for their students through their instruction. I received my Bachelor’s in General Business Administration in 2001 so I knew most of the faculty in the Business department. I knew how they truly wanted their students to succeed in the classroom and beyond. During my time at Delta State, my professors were always available for any questions I may have had and they always followed up with me when I needed help. 

          The program was very challenging. The classes demanded a combination of individual work and teamwork. The professors did not teach filler material, everything we were taught can be applied in the real world. This is an important aspect of pursing any form of higher education. Students want to learn material that they can apply in their jobs to help further their careers and the MBA program at Delta State University definitely provides this opportunity. 

          The program itself provided me with the tools to further my career. Delta State University provided me with a great foundation in Business during my Bachelor’s coursework. The MBA program strengthened these skills and forced me to apply principles and theories to real-world scenarios, case studies, and research projects. I give Delta State credit for providing a quality education and the faculty for preparing me for my next career goal. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral degree and it is because of this fine institution that I can achieve this career goal.
