1. Application for Admission – Print, complete and sign the admissions application. Internet applications will not be accepted.
2. Official Transcripts – Official High School or College Transcripts must be mailed directly from the school to the Admissions Office. The Admissions Office will then send the transcript to an evaluation service.
3. Test Scores –
o Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is required for all undergraduate applicants, minimum score is 760.
o Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required unless English is your native language. The minimum scores are: 196 computer-based, 70 internet-based, or 525 paper-based.
4. Financial Statement – Official statement from your bank verifying funds are available equal to $17,523 U.S. dollars to cover the cost of your education and stay in the U.S for one academic year. This statement must be issued within 6 months of your enrollment. If, a statement from you bank is not possible, funds may be wired directly to Delta State University to cover the costs of one semester. A financial affidavit is also required.
5. Immunization Record – Two vaccinations dates for MMR (Mumps, Measles, and Rubella) are required. The date of the first vaccination must be after the first birthday. There must be more than 30 days between the first and second vaccination dates.
6. Housing Application – University housing is required of all persons under the age of 21 with less than 30 academic hours. The housing application requires a deposit of $50 US dollars and can be accessed through: http://ntweb.deltastate.edu/vp_bus_affairs/housing/ResidenceHallApplication.pdf.
7. Health Insurance – all international students are required to participate in the health insurance plan offered through the Lewer agency. Enrollment will be automatic upon arrival to the campus.
8. Tuberculosis X-ray – A chest x-ray to determine tuberculosis will be conducted upon your arrival to the campus.
Note: All applications must be accompanied by a fee of $1250 US dollars to cover the expense of application processing, transcript evaluation, health insurance, x-ray, and postage.
