Jerry K. Smith, of Leakesville, was inducted into the 2009 Jones County Junior College Sports Hall of Fame.

Joey Cummings, of Yazoo City, has been appointed President of American Samoa Chamber of Commerce in Pago Pago, American Samoa.

Evan Bosworth, of Branson, MO is the featured vocalist on the Navigator Regent Seven Seas Cruise Line.

Dr. Debra Petty, co-owner and founder of Kid’s Rainbow Daycare in Bruce, was presented with an “excellence award” at the 4^th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Banquet, hosted by the Loggins Scholarship Committee.
