Delta State University's "Pride of the Delta" Marching Band presents:

DSU BAND DAY

November 5, 2011 (Homecoming)

Delta State vs. Univ. of West Alabama

What is it?

DSU Band Day is an opportunity for community college and high school students to join with the "Pride of the Delta" and our Alumni for a day.  This includes winds, percussion, color guard, dancers, and drum majors. Students will be able to show off their talents by participating at halftime, performing stand tunes, and playing the famous Darkness on the Delta.

8:30-9:30

Check-in/Register (Football Practice Field)

9:30-11:00

Rehearsal (Football Practice Field) Get seating assignments in the stadium

11:00-12:30

One of more of the following:

  • Free time
  • Tour of campus with DSU students
  • Practice music/learn routines with DSU section leaders and captains

12:30-1:30

Playing rehearsal in Band Hall

Lunch with the band on the Quad

Begin dressing for game (DSU Students)

March over to the stadium for pregame

POSTGAME

Immediately following the football game, the Pride of the Delta Marching Band will be performing our 2011 Show featuring the music of Queen for our guests, alumni and fans!

 

What do I need to do?

To RSVP, download and complete the application form (click link)and mail to Delta State University along with the $15 fee to cover lunch on Saturday, admission to the game and a participant t-shirt.  Anyone who wishes to attend must RSVP by October 17, 2011.  If you have any questions, email Mr. Joe Moore or call 662-846-4629.
