Cisco Clean Access: Newer, Better Access: Changes from Then to Now
Clean Access has been upgraded and will only look slightly different than your old Cisco Clean Access Agent. It is now called Cisco NAC Agent. You log in the same way as before. The upgraded system will recognize more antivirus applications and Operating Systems.

Personal Computers on Campus Wireless (OkraNet) and Residence Halls
Personal laptop computers can be connected to the campus network and wireless network called OkraNet. Students can also connect their desktop computers in the residence halls. To connect your computer to the Delta State Network your computer must meet minimum requirements and have:
• An ethernet adapter (NIC) or wireless card
• Up-to-date free or paid Antivirus software
• Up-to-date Windows security patches
Before bringing your personal computer to the OIT if you are unable to connect:
• Your personal computer must be functioning properly. If it is deemed to be malfunctioning, we are not authorized to help you repair your PC.
• Ensure all applicable security patches are installed on your computer (Antivirus, OS updates)
• Microsoft Operating Systems go to: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Note: Be sure to select Students if you are a Student and Employees if you are an Employee when connecting your computer on campus wireless (OkraNet) and Residence Halls with the Cisco NAC Agent.
Wireless Access
Wireless access is available in many areas across campus, including the Roberts Laforge Library and H.L. Nowell Student Union. Wireless is not available in the residence halls, nor are wireless devices authorized for use in the residence halls. For the Official Campus Wireless Map Click Here.
Please note that personal routers, switches and access points are not authorized and will automatically cause the port in your room to shut off and will only be reactivated by a support request to the Office of Information Technology.
Connecting to University Wireless SSID (OKRAnet) with a personally owned Tablet/Laptop:
1. Look for the Wireless icon on the system tray (lower right of the screen) – if it’s not shown, you may need to expand the System Tray by clicking on the “<” button
2. Right-click the Wireless icon and select “View Available Wireless Networks”
3. If your wireless adapter is working correctly you should see “OKRAnet” as an option. Click “Connect”, wait for a connection and close this window.
- NOTE: If you are unable to see any available wireless network connections and you are at one of the universities wireless hotspots (see map), please ensure your wireless adapter is turned on. If you are unsure on how to do this, please contact the Help Desk at: 662-846-4444.
4. Launch Internet Explorer (Or the web browser you prefer to use)
5. You will be redirected to a login page. Log in with your username (Student ID Number or employee username), password, and choose your login type. Click “Continue”.
6. Click “Launch Cisco NAC Windows Agent X.X.X.XXX”
7. If prompted, click on the yellow information bar as shown in the picture and Click Install add-on.

11. When you get to the following screen, the Cisco NAC agent is installed. You will log in to the agent whenever accessing the network via OKRAnet or Residence Halls. Log in with your username and password (Student ID number, or employee username)
12. If your computer does not meet the minimum security requirements, you will be presented with a screen indicating you have Temporary Network Access.

14. You will now be able to review what security requirements your computer needs.
15. Click “Go To Link” to download Clamwin antivirus (It’s Open Source and Free).

16. Once the issue has been resolved click Update
If additional requirements are needed, you will be directed to addressing these before continuing.
Note: Depending upon the type(s) and number of updates needed on your computer you may need to follow these steps multiple times.
17. Once you have fulfilled all security requirements, you will be presented with a Full Network Access message.
Wired Access/ Residence Halls
1. Turn off your wireless adapter if it is on.
2. Plug in to the network using your NIC and ethernet cable.
3. Complete steps 4-17.
