Dr. Beals received his PhD from Mississippi State University. His areas of interest include PTSD, experiential and integrative therapies, spirituality in counseling, GLBTQI issues, consciousness and mind-body medicine, alternative treatments,  and pain management. He is a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association, the American Counseling Association,  American Mental Health Counselors Association,  Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Issues in Counseling,  Counselors for Social Justice,  Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education, Multicultural Counseling, EMDR Internal Association, and the American Academy for Pain Management.
