 Mobile Recordings

The expertise and equipment at the Delta Music Institute is made available to locations regionally by the DMI mobile recording service, comprising of flight-cased equipment designed to create the best possible studio conditions within a venue.  In recent times the services have been extended to recording film scores, overdubs and live concerts. This service includes access to the DMI's microphone collection, experienced technical support and the ability to record in multiple formats.

 Audio Transfer/Editing

The Delta Music Institute offers audio transfer and editing services to convert content of analog media (LPs, cassettes, reel to reel, 8-track) to digital media (CDs, DVDs, Hard Drive). Basic audio restoration (removing pops, crackles, random noise, etc.) and duplication services are also available.

 Musical Entertainment

The Delta Music Institute is the home of two popular bands, each of which performs a repertoire of American roots music from the genres of blues, soul, funk, and rock. As part of the DMI's commercial music application, these bands are available for bookings at festivals, conferences, schools, corporate and private events. The high energy performance of both of these bands and their dedication to the original recordings is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.

Ol' Skool Revue is a blues/funk/soul/R&B band, complete with horns and background vocalists. This band showcases the most famous tunes from the historic 60s and 70s recordings of Motown, Muscle Shoals, and Memphis.Ol' Skool Revue has performed at DSU Pig Pickin', DSU Homecoming, Port Gibson Heritage Festival, Juke Joint Festival, MAC Conference, Crosstie Arts & Jazz Festival, Octoberfest, Crossroads Blues Society Festival, Douglas Corner Cafe`, Airport Grocery, Po' Monkey's, and more.

DeltaRoX is a classic Rock band, performing the greatest hits of American and British rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. DSU Pig Pickin', DSU Homecoming,  MAC Conference, Crosstie Arts & Jazz Festival, Octoberfest, Tootsie's, Douglas Corner Cafe`, Airport Grocery, and more.

 Production Services

In a continuing effort to offer students real-world learning opportunities, the DMI is pleased to offer live sound reinforcement services to the Delta region. Live sound services consists of front of house (PA) and monitor set-up, support,  and mixing for small and large live events (festivals, concerts, club/music venues, speaking events).
