DMI AUDIO LAB

The DMI digital audio lab is equipped with fifteen stations featuring Apple computers, Mbox2 audio interfaces, and M-Audio keyboards. Software applications include iLife, Garage Band, Logic, ProTools, Reason, Waveburner, and more. The DMI lab offers interested students the opportunity to learn the art and science of recording, editing, and mixing music in a digital environment as a fundamental part of the DMI’s curriculum.

 

 

DMI TRANSFER LAB

 

The DMI houses a small editing suite to transfer content from analog media (cassettes, reels, LPs) to digital media (CDs, DVDs, hard drives). The editing suite is equipped with an Apple G5 computer, DigiDesign Factory 002 interface, Yamaha NS-10 monitors, a Nakamichi Dragon cassette deck, turntable, ReVox PR-99, Tandberg  2 track reel to reel players,an Otari MX-5050 1/4" 4-track and an on-disc printer. This suite offers students hands on application in transferring, editing, and labeling audio for campus and community clients.
