In Memoriam June 2009Elizabeth “Penny” Lemons Samuels ‘43, on May 28, 2009. Mrs. Samuels attended Delta State University and married Willard R. Samuels on May 24, 1946. She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Women’s Circle, Delta Garden Club, Saturday Lunch Group at Cleveland County Club and traveled extensively with DSU basketball team. She is survived by her husband Willard R. Samuels, several nephews and nieces, and sister-in-law, Carol Lemons.
