Joyce Davis Reed, of Mobile, AL, was recently chosen as the recipient of the Marion Maerke Scholarship through her volunteer efforts through the Azelea City Quilters Guild. She has also been chosen to serve as Chair of the organization.

Michael Fielder, of West Helena, AR, was promoted as agency manager of Phillips County Farm Bureau in West Helena, AR. and also recently excepted an invitation to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Phillips County Community College of the University of Arkansas Foundation.

Sandra F. Camphor, of Ocean Springs, has been named the Thad Cochran Distinguished Arts Educator of the Year (Theatre) by the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education.

Jimmie Blount, Delta State instructor in Accountancy, was presented the AT&T Mississippi Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award by Mike Walker, director of External Affairs for AT&T Mississippi.

Ted Poore, 9th grade principal, of Rosa Scott High School, was selected by Business Week Magazine as the Top Performing Academic High School in the State of Mississippi.
