Dr. Jacinda Roach

Dr. Roach is an adjunct assistant professor in the Division of Family and Consumer Sciences. She is also an assistant professor of medicine at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dietetics from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. She earned a Master of Science degree in Institutional Management while completing the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at The University of Southern Mississippi. She received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Nutrition and Food Systems from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Roach started her professional career as a clinical dietitian at Mercy-Baptist Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. She taught at Nicholls State University for eight years. She moved to Mississippi where she worked as an account manager for Novartis Medical Nutrition and as an assistant director for Valley Services, Inc. at The University of Mississippi Medical Center. From there she transitioned into her current faculty position at the medical center. This is the first time that Dr. Roach has taught for Delta State and she is thrilled about the opportunity to work with students again.
