Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between MAMP and IMAGE?

The MAMP (Mississippi Alliance for Minority Participation) Program includes all efforts at meeting the objectives of the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. The main goal of which is to increase the number of underrepresented minority students who graduate in STEM majors and go on to pursue an advanced degree in a graduate program. The students participating in the MAMP program are often called IMAGE students or IMAGE scholars. IMAGE stands for increasing minority access to graduate education.

How can I become an IMAGE scholar?
