Degree Requirements

Candidates for the MBA degree through the iMBA program are required to meet the following criteria:

1.  Fulfill the general requirements for a graduate degree at Delta State University.

2. Applicants lacking prerequisite courses as specified in the iMBA admission requirements, or a 3.0 overall undergraduate G.P.A. will be required to take the below listed Foundation courses:        

  • MBA 500 - Financial Accounting for Managers (3 hours)
  • MBA 505 - Productivity Software for Executives (3 hours)
  • MBA 520 - Theory of Economics (3 hours) 
  • MBA 530 - Theory of Business Finance (3 hours)
  • MBA 540 - Statistics for Managers (3 hours)
  • MBA 550 - Theory of Management (3 hours)
  • MBA 560Theory of Marketing (3 hours)
  • MBA 570 - Legal Environment of Business (3 hours) 

Students taking these foundation courses must earn a grade point average of 3.0 with no grade less than a “C”.  

3.   Complete the following three modules of ten credits each (30 credit hours total) - Module I: Financial Strategy, Module II: Strategic Planning, and Module II: Operational Strategy with a 3.0 grade point average and no grade less than a “C”.
