Admission Requirements

Full admission to the Integrated Master of Business Administration (iMBA) program may be granted to an applicant who:

1.  Has earned a baccalaureate degree which is fully accredited by one of the recognized accrediting agencies, and meets all other requirements for admission to Graduate School;                

2.  Has completed the 30 semester hours of iMBA prerequisites consisting of the following:   

    1. Financial Accounting I
    2. Managerial Accounting
    3. Microcomputer Applications
    4. Macroeconomics
    5. Microeconomics
    6. Management Principles
    7. Business Finance
    8. Marketing Principles
    9. Statistics
    10. Legal Environment of Business/Business Law 
     

    3.  Applicants not completing the above listed prerequisites will be required to take the MBA Foundation courses listed below:

      • MBA 500 - Financial Accounting for Managers
      • MBA 505 - Productivity Software for Executives
      • MBA 520 - Theory of Economics
      • MBA 530 - Theory of Business Finance
      • MBA 540 - Statistics for Managers
      • MBA 550 - Theory of Managment
      • MBA 560 - Theory of Marketing
      • MBA 570 - Legal Environment of Business 

      4.  Academic background, professional or managerial work experience, and/or performance on the Graduate Management admission Test (GMAT) must meet the following minimum:

      (Overall or Upper-level GPA* X 200) + Work Experience + GMAT > 1100  *Scale of 4.0

      Work experience (Managerial or Professional Experience) is factored in as follows:

                 2 to 5 years = 250

                 More than 5 years = 500

      5.  Has a GPA of 3.0 on all upper-division courses, and an overall GPA of 3.0. Applications of students 1) lacking the quality of business experience, 2) scoring below the required level on the GMAT are forwarded to the College of Business Graduate Programs Committee for a recommendation.
