Linda Floyd Collins, of Cleveland, was named Ambassador of the Year by the Cleveland Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce.

Walter “Bobby” Barr, formerly of Clarksdale, has been named City President of Regions Bank in Greenville and Leland.

John Marshall Alexander, of Oxford, has been promoted to Chief of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi after 25 years as Assistant U. S. Attorney.

Paul Janoush, of Cleveland, received the Kossman Award, the highest award given by the Cleveland Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce.

Donald Swafford, of Cleveland, was promoted to assistant vice president of M & F Bank in Cleveland.

Byron Nichols, of Brandon, competed in the IPF Masters World Bench Press Championships in Schwedt, Germany. He took home the Silver Medal in the 275 lb Class with a bench press of 562 lbs (255 kg) and set a new American and National Record in Milwaukee, WI at the USAPL Masters Nationals Championships. This was his first international competition.

Chritie Ridle Montesi, of Boyle, was named director of Career Services and Placement at Delta State University.

Tanya McAdory Coogan, of Ashburn, VA, is the new Director of Chapter Development for the Spina Bifida Association, National Office in Washington, DC and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the National Therapeutic Recreation Society, a branch of the National Recreation and Park Association.

Jake Michael Bellipanni, of Memphis,TN, has joined Community Bank in DeSoto County as a vice president and lender.

Marilyn L. Kelly ('06), of Mound Bayou recently won the election for the honorable position of Circuit Clerk in Bolivar County. She is currently employed at Delta State University where she serves as an administrator in Retention and International Student Affairs and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Marilyn has been married to Mr. Randall Kelly, III, a Secondary Education teacher, for 14 years.

Jeffrey Farris (’05), formerly of Brandon, is the Assistant Alumni Director at Delta State University.

Emily Gilliland, of Greenwood, is the service manager for the Mockingbird Bakery on Howard Street.

Courtney Lange Blevins, formerly of Batesville, graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with an M.S. degree in Speech Language Pathology. She is currently a Speech Language Pathologist at the Bristol Regional Speech & Hearing Center in Bristol, TN.

Warren Scott Eyster, of Southaven, signed a two-year contract with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League.

Rusty Rayborn ’07, a native of Tylertown, joined SouthGroup Insurance in Cleveland. Rayborn was named All American in 2006 as a member of the DSU baseball team.

Joyce McKnight-Williams ‘, of Dallas, was recently named Interim District Director of Workforce Education for Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD).
