OKRAnet - Secure Network Access for the DSU Community

Delta State University and Sungard Higher Education are pleased to introduce OKRAnet to the residents of family housing. OKRAnet is a secure wireless network that is available through user name and password for the family housing community and some areas of the campus (View Wireless Access Map). In order to access OKRAnet, you must authenticate via Cisco Clean Access which is in effect for OKRANet only March 12, 2008. Other phases will be deployed throughout the year (see below). You may login to OKRANet using the same username and password you use to access DSU Online Services and Blackboard CE6.

What is Cisco Clean Access? To help protect our users and our campus network from unwanted viruses and other dangerous computer and network attacks, Delta State University has implemented a new security system called “Clean Access”. This system is designed to ensure computer systems using the campus network meet the University's computer security requirements. Computer systems not meeting the requirements will only have limited network access and be directed to sites that may help them ensure their computer meets the requirements. The primary requirement at this time is that your computer have an updated Antivirus solution.
Clean Access will be deployed in phases across the campus community over the next year.
Phase I: Infrastructure Installation - Completed December 2007
Phase II: Clean Access Live on OkraNet - Completed March 2008
Phase III: Clean Access Live on Guest Network (DSU Internet)- April 2008
Phase IV: Clean Access Live in Residence Hall Wired Access - Fall 2008
Phase V: Clean Access Live on All Campus Wired Access - Spring 2009
All video game consoles, PDAs, and SMARTphones must be registered with Network Services prior to gaining wireless access. Online registration can be completed Network Device Registration Form.
