All woodwinds are invited to pursue their studies at Delta State — majors, music minors, and students in other majors who wish to continue their musical studies by participating in ensembles and lessons.

Woodwind Area Faculty
Dr. Shelley Collins, flute, is Assistant Professor of Flute and Music History. She teaches flute, music appreciation, music history, and the history of rock and roll, and conducts the DSU Flute Ensemble. [more]
Dr. Bret Pimentel is Assistant Professor of Single and Double Reeds, conducts the Jazz Band, and teaches
woodwind methods, jazz history & improvisation.
