Woodwind Students 

 

All woodwinds are invited to pursue their studies at Delta State — majors, music minors, and students in other majors who wish to continue their musical studies by  participating in ensembles and lessons.


Recent Student Achievements
  • Mississippi Music Teachers Association competition winners
  • Often chosen to perform for the annual Music Department Honors Recital
  • Our graduates are teaching music in  Mississippi schools or are continuing their music studies in graduate school

Dr. Cheeseman Dr. Andrea Cheeseman, single and double reeds, is Assistant Professor of Woodwinds at Delta State University. In addition to studio teaching, Cheeseman coaches woodwind chamber ensembles and teaches courses in woodwind methods and music appreciation. [more]

 


Dr. CollinsDr. Shelley Collins, flute, is Assistant Professor of Flute and Music History. She teaches flute, music appreciation, music history, and the history of rock and roll, and conducts the DSU Flute Ensemble. [more]
