Special Education Non-Teaching Minor

For Delta State University students who are not majoring in education, we offer a non-teaching minor. This 18 hour course sequence does not result in teaching licensure, nor can it be used as supplemental endorsement to a teaching license. Instead, it is designed primarily for individuals seeking careers in the helping professions such as social work, psychology, child development and speech and hearing sciences. However, students in any major who are interested in human diversity would benefit from this course sequence.
