 Music Department
The Department of Music offers an active and innovative program providing an intensive and challenging experience with emphasis on the individual student. The Department seeks to meet the career needs of music majors and to promote an appreciation of music and the development of musical talents in non-majors by providing courses in the history, theory, teaching, and performance of music.
Undergraduate degree programs provide four years of quality education drawing upon the resources of the entire university, and allow the student to study privately with members of a faculty whose distinction as performers, scholars, and most of all, teachers, has won for the Department of Music its reputation for excellence.
The Department of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
