We learn of new programs frequently, so check this page often to learn of new offerings.

Delta State University Scholarships

A number of scholarships are available to Delta State students who major in the sciences. Students of all majors are eligible for university scholarships. Division scholarships are designated for science majors and have specific requirements that vary with each award.

Bolivar County Soil and Water Conservation District Scholarships

The Bolivar County Soil and Water Conservation District, a member of the Mississippi Association of Conservation Districts (MACD), announces its annual call for applications for four $2,000 scholarships to be awarded in January 2010. These scholarship awards are open to any college sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in a two-year junior college or a four-year college in Mississippi.

Applications will be evaluated based on student's grade point averages, activities and leadership qualities, financial need, and supporting materials. Any student may apply, no matter what field of study the student is pursuing; however, an applicant in a natural resources field of study may be awarded extra points.

MACD is a non-profit organization made up of the state's 82 Soil and Water Conservation Districts, who promote the conservation of Mississippi's natural resources through education and outreach. Application deadline: October 1, 2009

DSU Career Services

Job opening - USDA-ARS, Stoneville, MS

Posted 11/17/2009

A position will be opened in the Pathology lab, USDA-ARS in Stoneville, MS starting in the middle of November 2009 or early December. The responsibility of this position is to assist in soybean lab, greenhouse, and field trials under the supervision of an USDA-ARS scientist. Scientist will prepare a written daily work plan and explain what kind of the work that needed to be done. This is a limited time appointment and will work 4-5 days a week With maximum 130 Working days of no limit time for student appointment. Experience in plant pathology is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have good motivation and reliability.
