Career Services is centrally located in Room 300 in the H.L. Nowell Student Union.   Our office provides assistance to DSU students, faculty, staff, alumni and employers through education, exploration, evaluation, and outreach services offered to match students and members of the university community with local regional, national, and international employment providers. 

• MonsterTRAK On-line Job Search Engine – Specifically designed for DSU students, this version of monster.com provides students 24-hour access to job postings.  Students are encouraged to post resumes on MonsterTRAK for employer access as well. 
• FOCUS Career Assessment – For students having difficulties choosing a major or career path, the FOCUS Career Assessment is an on-line tool designed to measure student interest, skills, and work related values to help them pick a major, explore a career and much more!  To get started, visit us online at http://focus.deltastate.edu key code: fightingokra.
• Career / Teacher Recruitment Days – Over 60 employers converge on campus twice a semester for the opportunity to recruit DSU students and alumni.  Students are provided the unique opportunity to network with corporate and school recruiters to aid in landing their perfect job.  Both events are held in the spring and fall semesters. 
• Professional Development Workshops – Ranging in topics from resume writing to business etiquette, Career Services hosts over 20 workshops each semester to assist students in preparing for the job search and beyond. 
• Job Board / Career Services Newsletter / On Campus Interviews – As a full service career center, Career Services provides job postings on the Job Board and e-mail notification through our Career Services Newsletter.  Additionally, we host approximately 10 companies per semester for on campus interviewing sessions. 
• Career Coaching – Customized advice on the job search process, resume writing, and choosing a career/major is given on a one-on-one basis.  To make an appointment with your Career Coach, call 846-4646.
