President's Welcome 

Welcome to Delta State University! Since 1925, Delta State University has been committed to supporting the aspirations of its students. That commitment is reflected in our focus not only in academics, but in athletics, the arts, and service to the community. Delta State University is about the whole person, that is, we think about educating students in multidimensional ways.  Classrooms. Libraries. Laboratories. Technology centers. Playing fields. Offices. Conference rooms. Social settings. Opportunities to learn are everywhere.             

Since joining the DSU family in September 2003, my wife and I have grown to love not only Delta State University but also the Cleveland community. Upon our first visit to Cleveland, the community and this campus won our hearts. I set a goal when I first embarked on this journey that Delta State University will be the best regional university in America. I truly believe that we are on our way to achieving this goal.
