U. S. Tax Information

Students should be aware of Federal Income Tax witholding on employment income, Scholarships, Fellowships, and Grants paid to Aliens.  For information concerning the issues of taxes, please visit the following website: http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/international/article/0,,id=129249,00.html. 

If any student is employed by DSU or receive any scholarship, fellowship, or grant, they must apply for either a Social Security Number http://www.deltastate.edu/docs/international_students/SSAapplication.doc or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) http://www.deltastate.edu/docs/international_students/IRSW7.pdf.
