IV. USB Keyboard Controller (Suggested)
Students who wish to pursue music composition in any form (i.e. songwriting, film scoring, hip hop production, etc.) are urged to purchase a keyboard controller for their use at home. The DMI maintains multiple keyboard controllers available for student use in the DMI building. Depending upon your particular needs and keyboard skills, you may wish to investigate the following models:
M-Audio Oxygen 8 v2
M-Audio Axiom 25
M-Audio Axiom 49
M-Audio Axiom 61
As you move to the upper level courses, you may wish to invest in higher quality equipment. Please see Mr. Iacopelli for recommendations based upon your budget.
VI. Additional Software
Due to changing technology, students are encouraged to contact course instructors for specific software requirements prior to registering for classes.
