Speech and Hearing Sciences

 

The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences offers pre-professional instruction leading to the Bachelor of Science degree. The department also operates a clinic for diagnosis and/or therapy for a wide range of communicative disorders, including language difficulties, speech pathologies, and auditory disorders. As disciplines of allied health, academic and clinical work in the department introduces the student to diagnosis, classification, and management of a broad spectrum of communicative disorders in preparation for graduate and/or professional studies in order to enter a career as a practicing specialist.
