American Choral Director's Association

Founded in 1959, the American Choral Director's Association is a non-profit music education association whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research and teaching. Additionally, ACDA strives through it's arts advocacy to elevate choral music's position is American society.

 

Mu Phi Epsilon

Founded in 1903, Mu Phi Epsilon is an International Professional Music Fraternity whose purposes are the recognition of scholarship and musicianship and the promotion of friendship. Its aims are the advancement of music throughout the world, the promotion of musicianship and scholarship, loyalty to the Alma Mater, and the development of a true bond of friendship.

 

Music Educator's National Conference

The Music Educator's National Conference is a voluntary, non-profit organization representing all phases of education in schools, colleges, and universities across the nation. MENC membership is open to all persons engaged in music teaching or other music educational work.

 

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia of America was founded in 1898 at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Since Sinfonia became a national fraternity is 1900 it has become the largest music fraternity in the world with more than 140,000 initiates and chapters on nearly 200 college and university campuses across the nation. Today the Fraternity represents a diverse community of members who advance the tradition of the fraternity's purpose:

To encourage and promote the highest standards of creativity, performance, education, and research in music in America; To develop and encourage loyalty to the Alma Mater; To foster mutual welfare and brotherhood of students of music; To develop the truest fraternal spirit among it's members; and to instill in all people an awareness of music's important role in the enrichment of the human spirit.

 

Phi Kappa Lambda

The Society of Pi Kappa Lambda, founded at Northwestern University in 1916, is dedicated to furthering music in education and education in music at schools, colleges, and universities that offer music degree programs. The Zeta Rho Chapter at Delta State University initiates those students who distinguish themselves in the department each year at a special ceremony.
