Potential music majors who wish to enroll in the Department of Music must meet Delta State University admission requirements as specified in the Delta State University Bulletin. In addition the incoming student must pass an entrance audition prior to the first semester for entrance into a particular degree. As part of the audition, the student's knowledge of music theory and notation will be examined. Prospective students are encouraged to audition on campus. If a live audition cannot be arranged taped auditions are sometimes acceptable.
