Programs of Study
BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Degree
This program is web-enhanced. Students applying to this program are not yet nurses. Graduates of this program are prepared to take the licensure exam to become a registered nurse.
RN-BSN Completion Program
This program is **ONLINE. Students applying to this program are currently a registered nurse with either an associate degree or diploma degree. Student often pursues their BSN in order to pursue, obtain or maintain a management position. Student may also be preparing his/herself for advanced study.
Nurse Administrator
Students applying are registered nurses with a current RN license and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or a health-related field. Graduates of this program are prepared to function in the role of administrator in various healthcare settings.
Nurse Educator
Students applying are registered nurses a current RN license and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or a health-related field. Graduates of this program are prepared to function in the role of educator within academic and/or healthcare settings.
Nurse Practitioner
- FNP - Family Nurse Practitioner
Students applying to this program are registered nurses with a current RN license and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or a health-related field. Graduate of this program are prepared to take the Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam and to function as an advanced practice nurse upon successful completion of the exam.
- GNP - Gerontological Nurse Practitioner
This track option is offered through the Mississippi Education Consortium for Specialized Advanced Practice Nursing (MECSAPN). Graduates of this program are prepared to take the Gerontological Nurse Practitioner certification exam and to function as an advanced practice nurse upon successful completion of the exam.
- PMHNP - Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Adult or Family Focus options
This track option is offered through the Mississippi Education Consortium for Specialized Advanced Practice Nursing (MECSAPN). Graduates of this program are prepared to take the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Adult or Family Focus) certification exam and to function as an advanced practice nurse upon successful completion of the exam.
