Financial Assistance for Summer Session

Students who plan to attend summer school and wish to receive financial aid must:

• have the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the prior aid year on file in the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
• complete a separate DSU Summer Financial Aid Application during the Spring semester and submit it to the financial aid office before the application deadline in early April each year.

All awards, including student loan applications, will be processed between April 1 and May 15.  Applications received after the deadline will not be processed. The Federal Stafford Loan and Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan are the primary sources of aid available during the summer session.
