Rouse to Present Flute Recital

The Delta State University Department of Music will present Robyn Rouse in her junior flute recital on Thursday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Rouse, a junior flute major from Gulfport, is the daughter of George and Roxanne Rouse. She studies with Dr. Shelley Collins, Associate Professor of Flute at Delta State University. Since entering Delta State University in 2009, she has been involved with the Delta State University Wind Ensemble, Chorale, Flute Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Delta Singers, Ol’ Skool Revue, and God’s Anointed Voices. She has performed in the Delta State University Honors Recital and won the Mississippi Music Teachers Association Concerto Competition in 2012. She performed at the National Christian Convention in 2012 and has been the solo flutist for the band DAY 1. Rouse is a new candidate for Mu Phi Epsilon. She has been playing flute for 9 years, and will be performing compositions by Bach, Bozza, Chaminade, and Clarke.
