The Department of Music at Delta State University will present its fall Percussion Ensemble and Steel Band concert Tuesday, November 17, at 7:30 pm, in the Bologna Performing Arts Center on the campus.
The percussion ensemble will perform traditional works for percussion ensemble by composers such as Michael Colgrass, John Beck and Matthias Schmitt.
The Delta State Steel Band will perform traditional calypso, soca, rock, and popular tunes written specifically for the steel band. The concert will also feature the premier performances of two new works arranged for steel band by Dr. Larry Bradford, Assistant Professor of Music at Delta State University.
