The Delta Center for Culture and Learning recently provided a Delta heritage tour for freshmen and senior students from the School of Nursing. After a classroom presentation on the Delta’s cultural heritage, The group traveled around the region, stopping at places where significant events happened.
Center Director Luther Brown introduced the group to the Mississippi Delta National Heritage Area. The Center currently acts as the manager of this partnership with the National Park Service. The group is pictured at historic Dockery Farms, widely known as the “Birthplace of the Blues.”
