Freedom Rides: Journey for Change

“The Freedom Rides: Journey for Change” exhibit details the struggle for racial equality through the interstate transportation system. The exhibit features individuals of different cultural backgrounds journeying through the Deep South attempting to change practices that were legalized by the United States judicial system and is part of the MS Department of Archives & History traveling exhibits program. “Freedom Riders: Journey for Change” is sponsored by the Delta State University Diversity committee and hosted by the DSU Archives & Museum. Financial support for the creation of the exhibit was made by the MS Department of Archives & History, the Foundation for MS History, MS Humanities Council, MS Historical Records Advisory Board, and the National Historical Publications & Records Commission. Capps, Jr. Archives & Museum building through 19 April. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.  Closed on weekends.
