DSU Screening: “The Hunting Ground”

November 8, 2016 @ 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm

“From the team behind THE INVISIBLE WAR, comes a startling expose of sexual assault on U.S. campuses, institutional cover-ups and the brutal social toll on victims and their families. Weaving together verite footage and first-person testimonies, the film follows survivors as they pursue their education while fighting for justice.” DSU campus administrators, advocates, educators, and students invite you to join us for a DSU campus screening of “The Hunting Ground,” one of the most talked about films at this years’ Sundance Festival. Screening: Tuesday, November 8th at 11 A.M. in the Baioni Conference Center (Broom Hall). Doors open at 11:30 A.M. and seating is limited (first-come, first serve). The film will be followed by an open discuss what is being done to combat sexual violence on our campus and in our community. Please be advised that this film may be triggering at times. Advocates will be available if anyone needs to talk during or after the film. We encourage individuals who feel they may need additional support to identify the advocates available and take care of themselves during the film. This event is sponsored by the Quality Enhancement Plan, Gender Studies Group, and the Office of Student Life.
