Announcing Auditions for the Delta Players Spring Production

January 30, 2012 @ 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Announcing Auditions

The Liar

by David Ives

The Liar is a modernization of a 17th Century French farce by Pierre Corneille. ALL roles are comedic—some broadly, some subtly. The challenge for the modern actor—and for our audience—is that the play is written in rhymed iambic pentameter. Comedic timing is important, but the most critical element is comfort and facility with language!

 Auditions will be held on

 Monday, January 30th

4:30-8pm

Jobe Hall Auditorium

***Please prepare a monologue for auditions. If you can find something in verse—Shakespeare, Moliere, or even something from The Liar—that would be great. But it is NOT required. More than anything, come to auditions ready to have a good time!

Callbacks will be on

Thursday, February 2nd 3-7pm

I will request everyone to read for specific roles at callbacks, but if you want to audition for a specific character, simply let me know. If you let me know before auditions I will keep it in mind; but please be willing to ask to read for a specific part at callbacks on Thursday, February 2nd.

ALL are welcome!
