Academic Day | School of Nursing

11:00 – 11:30 P.M. | Check-in & Organization Fair

Students, parents and guests will receive name tags and visitors bags at check-in. You will have the opportunity to meet representatives from various departments and organizations. The Barnes & Noble bookstore located inside the Union will be open.

11:30 – 12:30 P.M. | Lunch at Young Mauldin Dining Hall

12:45 – 1:30 P.M. | Program

The Dean of the School of Nursing as well as other faculty members and current students will welcome you and provide insight into your academic pathway at Delta State.

1:30 – 2:15 P.M. | Break-out Activity, Robert E. Smith School of Nursing

Students will meet with chairs and faculty from specific academic departments to get a closer look at the opportunities in that major that await them and experience the classroom setting.

An informative meeting for the parents will take place with Financial Aid, Student Life (Orientation) and Student Business Services.

2:30 – 3:30 P.M. | Optional Department Preview

Mix and mingle with university representatives and future classmates. Each department will be available for viewing classrooms, labs, office areas, etc.
