FINE ARTS

Join us Monday, February 27 for a fine arts academic day. Open houses will be held for the Department of Art, Department of Music and Delta Music Institute.

11:00 – 11:30 A.M. | Check-in, H.L. Nowell Union State Room
Students, parents and guests will receive name tags and visitors bags at check-in. You have the opportunity to meet representatives from various departments and organizations. The Barnes & Noble bookstore located inside the Union will be open.

11:30 – 12:30 P.M. | Lunch, Young Mauldin Dining Hall

12:45 – 1:30 P.M. | Program, H.L. Nowell Student Union East Lobby (2nd Floor)
The Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences as well as faculty members and current students will welcome you and provide insight into your academic pathway at Delta State.

1:30 – 2:15 P.M. | Break-out Activity
Group A: Zeigel Hall
Group B: Delta Music Institute
Group C: Wright Art Center
Students will speak with chairs and faculty from specific academic departments to get a closer look at the opportunities in that major that await them and experience the classroom setting. An informative meeting for the parents will take place with student service areas.

2:30 – 3:30 P.M. | Optional Department Preview
Group A: Zeigel Hall
Group B: Delta Music Institute
Group C: Wright Art Center
Mix and mingle with university representatives and future classmates. Enjoy refreshments and view classrooms, labs, office areas, etc. Parents and guests will join the students in the departments.
