A Child’s Christmas House: A Display of Gingerbread Houses

For over 70 years Delta State University has been a special place for the community’s younger citizens first through the Hill Demonstration School and now through the Child Development centers. The Hamilton-White Child Development Center has begun preparations for celebrating their 70th Birthday this year. To kick off the celebrating, the Child Development Center is inviting the public to stop by the Archives building to create Gingerbread houses which will then go on display in the main gallery of the Archives. Also on display will be photographs, ledgers and other memorabilia associated with the history of the child development centers dating back to the Hill Demonstration School years.
