The Delta State Alumni Association recently traveled to Onward, Mississippi for the inaugural South Delta Chapter Meeting. The meeting was held at the Onward store in Onward, Mississippi. Alumni and friends of Delta State University from Sharkey, Issaquena, Yazoo, and Warren counties were in attendance.
“There has been a lot of excitement in forming this chapter,” said Jordan Thomas, assistant director of alumni affairs. “We had a great turnout, and I feel certain we will have many more events with this chapter.”
The crowd heard updates about campus from Jeffrey Farris, alumni director, and Todd Cooley, head football coach. Officers were named for the newly formed chapter. Jamie Wallace of Yazoo City will be the president, and Jody Perkins from Anguilla will serve as vice president.
