On November 6, from 7-8p.m. in the Simmons Room at the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni- Foundation House on the campus of Delta State University, a panel discussion on domestic violence awareness is going to be held.
The speakers will cover what domestic violence is, what the warning signs are, and what resources are available to those in need.
“Awareness is an important step towards social change. Men and women working together can change attitudes and perceptions about domestic violence,” said Dr. Georgeanna “Ann” Brown-Wright, adjunct faculty with the Department of Social Sciences and History.
This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Delta State University Gender Studies Group, Delta Quality Enhancement Plan, and the Delta State University Cleveland Branch of the American Association of University Women.
