Delta States Small Business Center to offer free workshops

Delta State University’s Small Business Development Center which assists small business owners with their start-up and expansion needs will offer free small business workshops in the delta area during the months of April, May and June, 2009.

 
Registration is required for all the workshops.
 
SPECIAL WORKSHOP: ACE Hardware and the Mississippi Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) at Delta State University will offer a Disaster Readiness Workshop on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at ACE Hardware located on First Street in Cleveland. If your business is not ready for ice storms, tornadoes, fires, or floods, then you need to come learn what you can do to prepare for these disasters. 
 
First Steps/Small Business Primer – Cleveland:This workshop will examine the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 9, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon in Room 271 of Broom Hall atDelta State University. 
 
Quick Books/Payroll – Clarksdale:  In this workshop participants will learn how to set up a payroll, create paychecks and quarterly reports, and much more.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 10 am – 11:30 am at the Carnegie Library, 1114 Delta Avenue in Clarksdale.
 
First Steps/Small Business Primer – Greenville:  This workshop will examine the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the Greenville Higher Education Center, 2900 Hwy 1, South #A in Greenville. 
 
Developing a Business Plan – Clarksdale: This workshop will assist you with building a business plan to be used for financing purposes.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, April 30, from 10 am – 12 noon at the Carnegie Library, 1114 Delta Avenue in Clarksdale.
 
Developing a Business Plan – Cleveland: This workshop will assist you with building a business plan to be used for financing purposes.  The workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 12, from 4 pm – 6 pm noon in Room 271 of Broom Hall at Delta State University.
 
Developing a Business Plan – Greenville:This workshop is designed to assist you with building a business plan that can be used for financing purposes.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 21, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the Greenville Higher Education Center, 2900 Hwy 1 South #A in Greenville.  
 
First Steps/Small Business Primer – Grenada:This workshop will examine the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 4 p.m. – 6 pm at the Chamber of Commerce, 95 SW Frontage Road in Grenada.    
 
First Steps/Small Business Primer – Cleveland This workshop will examine the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 2, from 10 am – 12 noon in Room 271 of Broom Hall at Delta State University.

What the Banker Wants – Cleveland:  This workshop will assist with all items the banker will want to review before making a loan.  This workshop will be held on Thursday, June 25, from 6 pm – 8 pm in Room 271  of Broom Hall at Delta State University.
